1 Mahavihara Bodhgaya Temple, Gaya

It is also known as Mahabodhi Temple. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mahavihara Bodhgaya Temple is a Buddhist temple in Bodh Gaya. Bodh Gaya is located around 96 kilometers from Patna, Bihar. Bodhgaya offers Buddhist pilgrims the ultimate place to pray and meditate. The Mahabodhi Temple Complex is one of the four holy place related to the life of the Lord Buddha, and particularly to the achievement of illumination. The first temple was built by Emperor Asoka in the 3rd century B.C.
